Implementing an MES system improves production control and strengthens traceability in the food and beverage industry

At Maval Industria Viva, we are pleased to announce a new project with Zumos Valencianos del Mediterráneo (ZUVAMESA), a leading company in the production of not-from-concentrate juices and other citrus derivatives such as pulp, essential oils and pellets.

As part of its continuous growth, ZUVAMESA aims to significantly improve internal control across all its production processes. In a first phase, MAVAL will implement the MES solution – Siemens Opcenter Execution Process to drive the digital transformation of production processes, reinforce end-to-end traceability, and improve operational efficiency at the plant.

The MES system is designed to cover all traceability and production control needs, aligned with the principles of Industry 4.0. This system will enable ZUVAMESA to gain full visibility of operations—from raw materials to finished product—optimising time, resources and quality.

In a second phase, the current SIMATIC IT MES system implemented by MAVAL—currently managing the rest of the plant—will be migrated, resulting in a fully integrated solution with the ability to expand to new modules such as laboratory management or product specification.
